Oldham DAAT
Oldham DAAT deployed Theseus as part of a multifaceted strategy developed to deliver effective treatment; a key feature of which was to ensure that, despite the growing caseload, no clients were overlooked so that continuity of care could be assured.
Following the initial deployment additional requirements continued to emerge. In response Theseus was expanded to meet all new requirements, and is continuously evolving in line with Government guidelines.
At the operational level Theseus has enabled Oldham DIP to achieve a higher level of control for the information they record. This has resulted in Oldham DIP being able to proactively manage the information before it is submitted, and it also means that they are able to carry out quality Management Information work.
This enables Oldham DIP to ensure that they have recorded the correct data for reporting to the various governmental bodies, and to create local reports which can be used when planning for initiatives and schemes within Oldham.
At the tactical level Theseus helps managers allocate work via the caseload management facility and to see who is becoming overloaded. This enables managers to evenly distribute the workload and avoid bottlenecks; thus ensuring continuity of care.
A result of all this is that Oldham DIP has been commended by the Greater Manchester Police, the Government Office North West and the National Treatment Agency in recognition of the high standard of effectiveness in treating their clients. Oldham DIP has managed to significantly increase their effectiveness in treating clients and this increased effectiveness is fully reflected in the national monitoring statistics.
"Theseus gives us the ability to input DIRs quickly and with guaranteed accuracy; this has improved our performance figures and has eliminated errors. Theseus provides local information about problematic drug users which would be a boom to community safety teams.”
Barbara Samson, DIP Manager, Oldham DAT
